The Office of the Public Defender 6th Judicial Circuit provides and promotes exceptional advocacy and quality legal representation to persons in jeopardy of losing their life or liberty who cannot afford to hire a private attorney. Our office employs nearly 100 lawyers plus investigators, mitigation specialists, paralegals, legal secretaries and mental health professionals to assist with the more than 50,000 cases we handle each year.
